Environmental Protection Measures For Industrial Calcium Carbide Production

In order to save water, prevent furnace dust and water pollution, and save investment in sewage treatment equipment, a dry gas purification device for processing calcium carbide furnace was developed from the late 1950s to the early 1970s.


In the dry purification process, the furnace dust after furnace gas filtration contains about 1000ppm cyanide, which can directly eliminate the pollution of the environment. In order to prevent environmental pollution, while developing dry purification, a furnace dust incineration treatment device is made, which can treat the organic matter and cyanide in the furnace dust, so that the cyanide is less than 50ppm, thus forming a relatively complete industrial calcium carbide furnace gas dry purification, and gradually gaining relatively mature operation experience. A relatively mature dry gas purification technology of calcium carbide furnace has been gradually formed and has been applied to various calcium carbide processing and production equipment. Therefore, due to its high calorific value and large energy, the recovery of calcium carbide furnace tail gas is an important link of energy-saving technology in calcium carbide production. Because the internal combustion open furnace cannot recover the tail gas, it is urgent to convert it into a closed calcium carbide furnace.
